A few things to remember before you get started.
•Define a project manager and assign roles and responsibilities to the rest of the team.
•Start with the basics. Don’t plan to use all of the advanced features until the team is fully familiar with the LMS.
•Create a communication plan. From pilot and key stakeholders, the team should get ideas on how to communicate and market the LMS to the broader audience.
•Think about the kind of materials that should be developed to help the users move around the LMS when it is officially launched.
•Document each decision! It’s important to have a Data Entry Standards document to keep track of the decisions made.
•Also document the goals for the LMS. That way you can refer back to them if you feel the project gets off track.
•Take your time. Do not rush the implementation!
