Formatting Toolbar

Each type of instruction frame (i.e., Text, Form, and Sheet) has a formatting toolbar containing many recognizable and commonly-used formatting options.

When a Text instruction frame is inserted, the Formatting toolbar displays at the top of the Edit pane.

When a Form instruction frame is inserted, click the Add Text form control to display the Form Text Editor dialog box. The Formatting toolbar displays at the top of the Edit pane of the dialog box. Resources are also accessible in the Form Text Editor dialog box.

When the SHEET button in an Assessment content file is clicked, the ScoreSheet dialog box displays with the Formatting toolbar at the top of the Edit pane of the dialog box. Resources are also accessible in the ScoreSheet dialog box.

Using the graphic, each option is identified from left to right:

Undo/Redo

Font and Font Size

Bold, Italics, and Underline

Text color and Background color (See the Setting Colors topic.)

Alignment buttons (left, center, right, and justify, respectively)

Decrease indent, Increase indent, and Line height (spacing)

Clear formatting. First select text, then click Clear formatting

Paragraph. Clicking the down arrow will list the styles from the Style Manager.

The Variables drop-down arrow allows you to insert the Content Name, Content Description, and/or Content Objectives from the Content Properties entered when the content file was initially created without having to re-type the information. If the Content Properties change (using the Content Settings (cog) icon in the Navigation bar), the variables will be updated when the page is refreshed.

TPArrowIn Assessment content files, the %Learners_Score% variable is used to display the user's score on a ScoreSheet when they have completed the Assessment.

The Insert/Edit link (chain) icon provides the ability to add a hyperlink to an external web site. Enter the full URL, the link text to be displayed, and choose where the link should open: the current window or a new window. Make sure to click the SAVE button to save the link and insert it into the Edit pane.
