Setting the content properties

When end-users launch a piece of Live Content, a splash screen displays the name of the content, a brief content description, and the objectives (from Content Properties). This should be one of the first things you do when creating a new project.

1.Click the Home tab.

2.Click Properties in the Navigation Panel on the left.

3.Complete the fields:

a.Name. This is the title of the content.

TPArrowOnly use spaces between words. Do not use periods.

b.Description. Provides users with a brief description of what areas the content is going to cover.

c.Objectives. Clear and short statements about the objectives of the content, highlighting the skills covered or assessed. Periods should not be used.

TPArrowYou should populate the three fields listed above, as they are displayed on the splash screen at the launch of published content.

d.OPTIONAL:  Completion Time. This does NOT display on the splash screen and is a setting for the entire piece of content. (Additional controls for completion time are located on the Flow tab of the Add/Edit Instruction window.)

e.Select the Maximum Completion Time of [  ] hr [  ] min [  ] sec check box(es) to set the maximum amount of time a user has to complete the content.

f.Select the with Display check box to show users how much time they are allotted to complete the content.

4.Save the file. The Name will be used by default as the File Name for the content.

TPArrowIf the content is an assessment (i.e., scored) with a Results File, use ONLY underscores between words, not spaces, periods, or other punctuation.
