<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: LMS Settings > Users page settings |
From the Users page:
1.Click the three dot Options menu.
2.Select Settings.
3.The Account section settings provide you with the capability to allow end-users to change their password in LMS V3. If you decide to implement this, your users will be able to go to their My Profile and change their password. The password on the Import_Learners feed will then be ignored.
This password is not the same as the network password and is only changed when the end-user makes the change. The password is used when users are allowed to access the LMS from outside the network. The password can be up to 20 characters long and can contain the following - A-Z (upper & lower), 0-9, ! # $ % & ' * - . ? @ _ ~ £
The Allow account recovery option enables the user to see the Forgot credentials? link on their login page. If you’re using SSO, users will bypass this login page.
If end-users are allowed to access the LMS from outside the network, they will need to use their LMS User Name (i.e., their Windows/network login name) and their LMS password. If they click the Forgot credentials? link, the User Notification – Forgotten Login Details email template (see Automated Notifications) will be sent to the email address listed in their user record.
4.The Account Self-creation section settings provide the ability to:
•Allow account self-creation by end-users;
•Decide whether Approval is required; and
•Identify who is required to approve that request.
If you enable Account Self-creation, you have the option to decide which fields the user needs to complete on creation.
5.The History settings provide the ability to:
•Allow users to add history from their Learning Record for any external training they may attend;
•Decide whether Approval is required; and
•Identify who is responsible for approving.
