Add Registration Rules for a Group

Assigning a Group to the Registration Rules for a Course or Learning Path can be used to control which end-users can self-enroll or must first get prior approval for enrollment.

Setting Registration Rules for a Course will automatically be applied to scheduled Calendar Events. The Registration Rules can be modified individually when scheduling Events on the Calendar.

Important!

Any change(s) to Registration Rules for a Course in the Library that has Events currently scheduled on the Calendar will not be retroactively applied to the Event(s).

1.From the Library, search for the Course/Path. Alternatively, from the Calendar, click on the appropriate scheduled Event, and skip to Step 3.

2.Open the Course/Path details by clicking on the Course/Path Name. Alternatively, click anywhere in the line that is not text, and then click Edit record Edit Record on the toolbar.

3.Click the Registration tab.

TPArrowThe tabs for Courses and Paths will be different, but Relevance, Access, and Registration tabs are available for both.

4.Click Add a new record Add Record on the toolbar.

5.Click the Registration Rule arrow and select the required condition:

Open = Users can self-enroll in the Course/Event/Path. Users will see either the:

o Enroll Button button for scheduled Calendar Events and/or Learning Paths. If the Calendar Event is full, the ADD ME TO THE WAITLIST button is placed on the Waitlist.

oWhen displaying the Course Summary, the Enroll Button button will be available in the bottom right corner of the Summary window.

oLaunch (Play) Play Icon  button for eLearning Courses.

Closed = Users are not allowed to enroll in the Course/Event/Path. Users will see it in the Library, on the Calendar, and be able to search for it, but not allowed to enroll or request registration approval.

Approval Required = Users must request approval by their Manager or an LMS Administrator before they will be allowed to enroll. When users display the Course Summary, the Request Button button will be available in the bottom right corner of the Summary window.

Course part of a Path = The Course is part of a Learning Path, and the user must first be assigned to the Learning Path before they can take the Course.

6.Set the Priority.

TPArrowThe Priority must be unique for all Registration Rules for the Course/Path, with 0 being the highest Priority.

7.Select the check box(es) next to the Group(s) to which the Registration Rule should be applied.

8.Click Save Button.
