•URLs – Allow you to include links to either the login page of the LMS or an enrollment/registration link (Learner Link) to a Calendar Event. See the Variable types topic for additional details on using the Enroll URL variable.
•Users – Allow you to include various forms of the User Name for personalizing your messages using information from the user account.
•Managers – Allow you to include various forms of the Manager Name for a user, provided Managers have been defined in the user account.
•Courses – Allow you to include Course information from the Course Details in the Library. See the Variable types topic for additional details on using the Repeater variable.
•Events – Allow you to include any combination of details for Calendar Events as entered on the Calendar. Information is populated from the Calendar Event Details and Contacts pages, including Webinar details and Event Contact information. This flexibility provides the ability to customize the Event Name and/or Description to be different from the Course information in the Library. For example, the Course in the Library might be “Word Fundamentals,” but you may want to specify a user audience in a Calendar Event, such as “Word Fundamentals (Secretaries).”
The Cancellation Link variable can only be used in messages where a user has previously enrolled in a Calendar Event, and should not be used in broadcast messages. This variable is already applied in the Appointment New and Appointment Update Email Templates.

•Paths – Allow you to include a Path Name, Path ID, and/or Path Repeater to include multiple Learning Paths from the Course Catalog.
•Signature – Allow you to choose which Signature to apply to the message. Signatures are defined in Settings from the three dot Options menu on the Communication page.
