Content Creation Process

Consider following this process to create content files:

1.From the Content Library, click the CREATE NEW CONTENT button, complete the New Content dialog box, and then click the CREATE CONTENT button. (See the Preparing to Create Content topic before proceeding.)

2.Add and format instruction frames as needed. (See the Using Text Instruction Frames and Using Form Instruction Frames topics.)

We recommend that you use only 1 monitor and set your screen resolution to 100% when creating content to ensure there are no display issues. We have seen success with up to 2 monitors and screen resolutions up to 150%, but consider these recommendations when troubleshooting display issues.

Content will scale during playback for resolutions 100, 125, or 150%.

3.Preview the content to set the sizing for instruction frames. (See the Previewing Content topic.)

4.Capture steps and alternatives. (See the Capture Utility topics.)

5.Test (Preview) captured steps and alternatives.

6.As appropriate:

a.Add BalloonTips. (See the Adding BalloonTips topic.)

b.Preview to test the content.

7.If tracking user results:

a.Score captured steps and alternatives. (See the Content Scoring topic.)

b.Score Form instruction frames. (See the Content Scoring topic.)

c.Turn on the Show Results slider to display results to users. (See the Content Properties Details Tab topic.)

d.Test the content and verify that scoring is recorded as expected.

8.OPTIONAL:  Print the content file. (See the Printing Content topic.)

9.Finalize and Publish the content.

a.Select the content file(s) to be published from the Content Library or Content Editor page.

b.Select the format for the published file (AICC, HTML, or Intellek LMS).

c.Publish the content.
